1.  To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee

I admire the author as much as the book.  In 1961, Harper Lee won the Pulitzer Prize for this novel, her debut.  I first read TKAM when I was nine years old and, oh boy, did I fall in love with Scout.  Each year I reread it and gain something new from it.  A beautiful coming of age story, I recommend it for readers of all ages.
